So this site is 1 year old now, eh ?

news by FNM It looks like you won't need to compile the latest MAME source anymore; it was just announced on SYS2064 that the MAME 0.35 beta 6 binary is also out. Download it at SYS2064 and go enjoy the new Williams and Cinematronics games that were added to MAME !
And thanks Till... for the happy birthday wishes :)

news by FNM The source code for MAME 0.35 beta 6 has been released. Thanks to RetroGames for the news, and the official binary for it will be released later.

news by FNM The ROM Links page has also been updated... minor update, though, fixing only some links (1 site removed, 2 sites added).

news by MGandhi I was cleaning my HD when I found 2 unreleased interviews, which I made for EmuBase (my old site). So, I added them to Interviews heritage of END. I interviewed Aegis (The Dump GFX Maker), David Tucker, he was only a dreamer with a CD-i emulator project. Check, they are good interviews.

news by MGandhi Just adding an important thing that FNM forgot in his pretty and impressionable testimony about END journey. Before the use of allusion.org, Pitcho gave us a forward in Peligros.NET (peligros.net/gamerom/), that still receives 1300 visits per week. Thanks man, we cant erase you in our history.

news by FNM Many broken links on the Genesis ROMs Section were fixed by me. Now I can finally get some sleep :)

news by FNM A Win32 version of Doom Legacy is in the early beta-testing phase. Also, an utility called Legacy editing demo was posted at the Doom Legacy website.

news by FNM MGandhi just made 2 new logos for this site (logos #8 and #9 ... and don't forget logo #6 which was made by ViEtxB0Y).

news by FNM And just to think that this site was supposed to be a humble IRC channel (#GameROM) webpage, with only the names of #GameROM's members and some links to other emulation sites.
Yeah, that was our initial plan, but... the people always wanted more :) So we started collecting 'rare' ROMs (at least they were rare, at that time when we initially put them on our site) and we put those ROMs here.
Still, the people wanted even more... so {ZeroAge} became some kind of 'interviewer' and did 5 interviews with some well-known ppl of the scene (PrOfUnD, who's now helping on EmuCamp's maintenance, also did 1 interview). After those interviews, and after posting some really rare stuff on our site, we began being known not only by brazilian fellows, but also by the 'whole' world :) So we also decided to become something like ANOTHER emulation news service, trying our best to please the public.
But something was wrong at #GameROM. Lack of interest from almost all the ppl in there made this site change a bit, stopping with the IRC channel stuff and becoming more 'open-minded', more serious... but it needed a new name, and I thought of 'END' (which stands for 'Emulation Never Dies'). Demolition (who started with the #GameROM website, and stayed with me after this 'departure') approved this idea... so END was still alive and kickin', still featuring ROMs, links, emulation news, and other things you already know :)
And... after many URL changes (including those allusion.org shit, move.to crappy forwardin' stuff, and this nice domain supplied by MGandhi)... after 1 year of services for you all... I can only say (yet again) THANKS FOR THE CONTINUED SUPPORT. WITHOUT YOUR HELP THIS SITE WOULDN'T GROW AS MUCH AS IT DID.
We're terribly sorry but there aren't any 'birthday gifts' from us. Ah, and did I mention that the Game of the Week was updated ? Look at the top of this page ;)

END's birthday is coming...

news by FNM Both the DOS and Win32 ports of GalEMU 0.40 beta 4 were released today, adding support for 3 new games: Devil Fish, Space Battle (japirem clone) and Galaxians (bootleg). Please note that these ROMsets are the same used by MAME. Thanks to Zophar's Domain for the news.

news by FNM RuMSX 0.16 is out !!! Here are some of the new features:
- New options "/NoMMWaveOut" and "/NoMMMidiOut" added for trouble-shooting
- Fixed bug that caused RuMSX to hangs if you clicked on menu, toolbar or if trying to move window
- Errors during sound-init or strange coding may cause slowdown because of rapid output to debug-window
- New debug-option "Verbose"/"Silent errors" added to avoid slow-down if monitoring not requested
- Enhanced trouble-shooting dialog for better problem resolution.
Thanks to Emu News World for the news.

Quoting again, now S.G.C.C from Eidolon:
"Many thanks for additional cart dumps & information go to: MikeL, Chuck, Carl-Henrik, Peter, Roger, GrtDragon, Warchild, Scooter, Morgothlord, Adi, Mark, The Scribe, Water Worm, #GameROM, Oli, Snorter, END - Emulation Never Dies, EmuCamp, jAsOn, Zhenying Wu, Flavio, Vertigo 2099, FnM, Steve Snake, the Norseman, Steve Wai, David Haywood, Ken Arromdee, Charles MacDonald, and may others...."
I dont need say more words, need?

PEPI-END #2 Nascar 1 Car released! MGandhi (hello) released the PEPI-END #2 car for Nascar 1. Now you can run using the official car of the END's sponsor! Download it clicking here. (It's a PCX)

I'm so happy to notice it, SEGA has officially annouced the Saturn software emulator for Dreamcast. It will allow Dreamcast owners run Saturn games. This emulator besides it, will also improve image quality. It should be release soon, stay tuned.

Turaco 1.1.1 Released! Turaco, a great graphics editor tool that now support 847 different arcade roms. With it you can design your own sprites, design your own playfield, or just change some graphics using it, and the best, that is in constant development. Turaco is an important utility if you are an arcade games hacker. Download it now!

KGB (a GB emulator (with a great name)) new version can be released soon! According his site, a new version is coming with great new things such as:
- GameboyTM and Super GameboyTM emulation in assembler and Delphi
- A graphical user interface
- Battery backed ram
- Screen blur mode
- Full screen view
- Speed throttling.
- Game GenieTM cheat codes
- SNES Pad controller support
- Sound. (Not finished.)
To get more information visit the official site at kgb.emulationworld.com.

Just a quote from Emunews...:
"RockNES 0.74 Released! Fx3 has just released RockNES version 0.74! This release has the save state feature working correctly and the Super Mario Bros. 3 reset bug was fixed as well. RockNES is an NES emulator for DOS. Thanks to FNM for the e-mail." Is Jim Pragit changing his mind?

Portuguese MAME v0.35 beta 5 was released by Rafael. I think is more realiable and fast Nicola Samoria put a language file, only Û editing it we can change the language, because the re-writting of the EXE file isnt good.

Spike's Big Vectrex Page moved to Dave's Classics headquarters... this great site is the new Conjurer's 'bank account increaser'. Congratulations Dave and send me an e-mail when Fortune asks an interview.

The War against IDSA is starting... Harry Tuttle, the responsable of The Dump offered money to pay the costs of the picket signs.

eBay, the cybernetic Oxford Street announced a new stance about the commerce of emulators and warez stuff (CD copies) there. You can know more here.

Bombastic! Intel admits: We already used serial IDs in Pentium II notebooks. So, the polemic serial ID wasnt a new thing. ZDNet post an article about it, read clicking here.

news by FNM I just woke up and saw that RockNES 0.74 has been released today !!! Straight from its website, here's what's new:
The big news are the save/load state working good, and the SMB3 reset fixed! The documentation was updated too, and a little FAQ added.
And Fx3 is asking for feedback... *hint hint hint*

New logo added by FNM :)

news by FNM Lazarus dies again... one minute of silence, please. (...) The reason for this will be given in April. Thanks to RetroGames for the sad news.

news by FNM I'm looking forward for two days... 03/14/99 (END's first birthday) and 06/22/99 (release date for "California").
And before you ask, "California" is NOT emulation-related.

news by FNM This site is what I call "Atari Emulation Guide for Brazilian Newbies". Thanks to my ISP for the link.

news by FNM Lots of emulator releases (I love it when that happens): BrSMS 1.18.2 (public release), HelloGB 110309, DOS-UAE 0.7.5c, DBOY 0.45, Nemu64 0.11 (bugfix release), Sat'on'em (brand new Saturn emu, doesn't run any games yet), PC-Saturn (doesn't run anything, and also has a Win32 port), SNES9X 1.18e (DOS port !!!), MAME32 0.35b5 (OFFICIAL), aMAME & pMAME 0.35b5, KBMAME 0.35b5 release 7 (adding SAVESTATES support... and KBMAME is on hold, not dead) and BrMAME 0.35b5 (yes, MAME got translated to portuguese).

news by FNM Great stuff for you... here's the latest SNES ROM released by Vertigo 2099 (found by zerotech and dumped by Opoth): a game called MACS, which (according to vertigo.nfo, BE SURE TO READ IT) is a military training program used in US boot camp. Interesting stuff indeed... get it now :)

news by FNM Just saw it at news-u-lator: Nemu64 0.01 has been released, and now it features basic controller emulation, and audio emulation too (which is almost complete).

news by FNM Three arcade emulators were released/updated: KBMAME (updated using the 0.35 beta 5 source), Shark 3.0c (bugfix release, available at SYS2064) and JFF 0.19 (also available at SYS2064, supports 2 more games now). Thanks RetroGames.
And some news about Raine: two great games (Hit the Ice and Rambo 3) will be playable on the next release, among with 98 others, counting a total of 100 playable games in the next Raine !!!

news by FNM 300,000 visitors in almost 1 year of 'services'. Thank you !

news by FNM Virtual GameBoy 1.5 is out ! For now only the Window$$$ and FreeBSD ports of VGB 1.5 were released.

news by FNM The SNES ROM Mickey & Minnie's Great Circus Mystery was replaced with a good dump, thanks to Fx3 and CherryRoms.

news by FNM Doh, I almost forgot to report about the release of the source code for SNES9X 1.18e...

news by MGandhi Fixed the bug of the banner (from hoster) here.

news by FNM SYS2064 has moved to sys2064.emulationworld.com, so I suggest that you update your bookmarks now :) And please note that Till had absolutely NO problems with Fragmaster and/or Classicgaming.
And Zoop just made the contrary, moving the Meka homepage to classicgaming.com/meka.
Thanks Till for the email... and try to get rid of that happy99.exe :)

news by FNM Fx3 wrote a very interesting text about fixing NeoGeo sound ROMs... this text may save you from some unnecessary downloading :) Get it here.

news by FNM I already announced that the Game of the Week section is no more. But, every week that I have time and webspace to upload a game, I'll do that. Like this week... when you'll see the Game of the Week on the top of the Main Page ! (This week's game is Super Sidekicks 2 for the NeoGeo)

news by FNM Sunset64 1.2c has been released for the public. Although it doesn't run commercial games, it runs the demos at an impressively high speed (probably because of Dynamic Recompilation). And according to its readme.txt, the next release will be able to play games... so this is another great emu to watch.

news by FNM Quiet, don't tell anybody, don't let'em know... there's a secret...

news by FNM An early alpha release of DEPAM, a new NeoGeo/NeoGeo CD emulator has been posted today at Emulatronia. This version is just a teaser (ROM and MSCDEX support are disabled for now) but looks very promising !!!

news by FNM NeoCharity released the sound fixes for Magical Drop 3 and Twinkle Star Sprites (both NeoGeo games dumped by AraCorn of ROMList).

news by FNM Fx3 just warned me that the SNES ROM Mickey & Minnie's Great Circus Mystery is badly dumped. I'll replace that as soon as possible. Thanks Fx3 :)

news by FNM Gee, talk about a bad day for emulation. First I see that RealityMan decided to be gone for good from the scene (click here to read his final statement). And next... is what shocked me the most: ROMList decided to dig down the warhammer. Those guys shall never be forgotten for the good things they've done to all of us.
I'd do the same thing if I was in ORG's situation. 'Real-life issues' are indeed more important than ROM dumping.

news by FNM Wanna do some automatic-SNES-ROM-renaming ? Then go check out SMCRen (written by Gridle).

news by FNM If you're l33t enough, you should've already received BrSMS 1.18.2 (yes, the STABLE one, under Win9X) right in your mailbox.

news by FNM Since the NES ROMs page hasn't reopened (and will remain inactive for some more time), I decided to post an ultra-rare NES ROM called Crisis Force right here on the main page. Thanks to JoseCerv for finding it !

news by FNM The only working Sega Saturn emulator was updated recently... it's named A-Saturn and was updated to version 0.13v. Go visit its official homepage... and rumors tell that it plays very few commercial games !

news by FNM I finally updated the Links Section today... enjoy it :) And please note that two sub-sections are missing.

news by FNM Bad news about BrSMS: version 1.18 seems to be unstable after all :/ Good news about BrSMS: a) BrSMS 1.18.2 is on the way, thanks for those who reported bugs to Ricardo Bittencourt; b) you still can use BrSMS 1.17 which already kicks ass :)

news by FNM VRMAME was also updated using the 0.35 beta 4 source, and added the NeoGeo 'overclocking' feature, which caused unstability on the emulator.

news by FNM (posted by cleric on his site, News-u-Lator:)
Geez, if any website gets an award for trying to get more hits, it's EMU News Service.
I agree with you, man... and a word to Jim Pragit: my start page is my ISP's, and I'm not willing to change. Anyway, I'm very very happy with my (almost) 300,000 visitors, and yet again I thank y'all for supporting this site. And DO visit others because this one's not the only one :)

news by FNM If you have (freely) registered, BrSMS 1.18 should be waiting for you right now in your mailbox :) Some great new features are Sega SC3000 emulation, lightgun (Light Phaser) support and the ability to play 3D games without 3D glasses.

news by FNM NeoCharity will be releasing Flip Shot in a few days, so stay tuned :) That game was chosen by Atila and Apollo69 (who dumped it).
