  • The site formerly known as EMU24x is now known as EmuForce.

  • Arena Maze of Death is the latest release at SMS Power.

  • There's a new, unusual MAME port... it was ported to a Kodak DC265 digital camera, believe it or not ! Here's the official homepage for it... and I think that Z26 would also be portable to the Kodak DC265 :) Thanks to rde for the link.

  • This was supposed to happen this Monday, but anyway... bleem! 1.5 is out... and it's supposed to be faster. (source: RetroGames)

  • Badge didn't post a made-in-1999 japanese SNES game this time... he posted two of those: Wizardry 1 2 3 and Yoshi's Oven... and he also posted some interesting words about honour, which is a must-read for all the ones he called "I-found-it-first-so-its-mine-and-oh-how-l33t-my-site-is wannabes".

  • SMS Power released The Incredible Hulk and Genesis Power released MetalHead (32X).

  • As promised by Fx3, RockNES 0.98 was released yesterday. (source: RetroGames)

  • Oh... JNES was updated twice and I missed it. (source: Kinox)

  • Emum@nia's countdown turned out to be about Kaervek's birthday... and to celebrate that he posted 3 roms that will be very sought after when some new emulator is released.

  • Two new releases at SMS Power: Zoop (GameGear) and Rambo: First Blood 2.

  • FDISK.COM is a very interesting site for DOS internet applications :) You can even download and try Lynx (yaya, that text-based browser for Unices) for DOS... and you'll see that this site isn't Lynx-friendly :P Thanks to rde for the link.

  • News-u-Lator returned and it no longer carries daily emulation news... but it's still a very interesting site. (source: EmuViews)

  • This sounds like a joke but it isn't... RapeGames was translated to spanish by Sayans Traductions !

  • Please bookmark NES World's new URL: nesworld.vintagegaming.com.

  • Nice weekend for rom releases... a GameGear release there, a 32X release there, three SNES releases there... and some interesting NES roms (Balloon fight, anybody ?) posted there.

  • nEMU is back yet again... and now it's a wwwboard-based news site. (source: ZD)

  • NeoCD 0.46 is out. New features such as cheating and N64 pads supports are now present, and that emulator should be faster since it was recompiled using the latest Allegro. (source: VGN)

  • SMS Power released Fred Couples Golf (GameGear).

  • Genesis Power released FIFA '96 (32X), dumped by NeoZeed... and SMS Power released the unknown Eternal Legend (GameGear).

  • Yet another beta of loopyNES is out, and two new NES emulators called SleepNES (which doesn't seem to be that good, according to the author) and NES496 debuted (well, NES496 already existed but was kinda 'anonymous'). (sources: VGN and RetroGames)

  • An updated version from March of WassupGB... err... HelloGB was released, and it fixes some GBC-emulation related bugs. (source: VGN)

  • Rafael Zanoni was the 600,000th visitor to this page ! Special thanks to him... and to you all who visit END !
I didn't make it. Well, at least I was the 1,000th visitor of a beautiful girl's page :P

  • Bad news: DNGRS is no more. Thank you ROM linking bastards. And TSX.ORG (all of it) is down.

  • SMS Power also released Sega Galaga (SG1000) today.

  • I just came back and saw that MAME 0.36 beta 7 is out !!! I think I'll go play Crazy Climber 2 or X-Multiply now... speaking of X-Multiply, it's a M72 game, and Nao wrote (at least part of) the M72 driver used in MAME. If you don't know who's Nao, you probably never messed with System16. (source: VGN)

  • Releases ! Motocross Championship (32X) by Genesis Power, X-Men: Mojo World (SMS & GameGear) by SMS Power and Chrono Trigger Character Library and Pachislo Story (SNES) by Madoka ROMance.

  • With only a few changes on this new version, here's SNES9X 1.26b (DOS). But what's new ? (source: Emulatronia)
-Fixed a bug in the config file support, which caused Snes9x to 'do nothing' when no rom was loaded from the command line. Snes9x would fail to run anything and would show only a black screen. Now how come I didn't notice this earlier??
-Added an option to disable the GUI. Edit 'snes9x.ini' and set 'UseGUI = 0'.
-The debugger is back [for those who understand the concept of debugging]. Press F5 to start the debugger. Debugger options and commands can be found in 'debugger.txt'.

  • Heh... 2 extremely lame brazilian sites combined won't even say a thankyou to Badge and romar for Fire Emblem 5 (SNES). Now I know a reason for non-brazilian people to dislike us. What a shame.

  • Honestly I wasn't expecting this but... the first version of Daphne is out ! It emulates the Cinematronics laserdisc games Dragon's Lair and Space Ace, and of course you'll need a LaserDisc player for that one (the author suggests you go find one at eBay) and the respective LDs too. (source: SYS2064)

  • BouKiChi released a preview version of his newest emulator called Rew, which is a GameBoy/GameBoy Color emulator for Windows. (source: Dave's)

  • A new version of MESS is finally out :) And it supports a bunch of "new old" systems as well... I only hope it's no longer a mess :p (source: RetroGames)

  • SMS Power released Puyo Puyo 2 (GameGear) and Genesis Power released the great WWF WrestleMania Arcade Game (32X).

  • Fire Emblem 5 - Trachia 776 is the name of the 3rd SNES game made in 1999 (the other 2 ones were Tamagotchi Land and Columns) posted at Badge's Lighthouse. Additional thanks to romar for this one.

  • With a "little big" help from Malzinhow, our Weekly ROMs section is up and running again. And since no one was able to download last week's selection I'm putting it again. Enjoy, and don't forget to report any problems you have ! (even though I tested all links this time and they worked 100%)

  • A note about broken links on the weekly roms section: Thanks to all who noticed and emailed me about them but I think there's nothing more I can do. I have no reliable places to upload anything at all and this server where we host our HTML won't handle roms, and all the free webspace servers are screwed :/ Guess it's time to kiss those roms goodbye... thankyou for caring about this poor site.

  • SMS Power released Jurassic Park today... another new game for you to test on SMSPlus 0.7... (source: EmuCamp)
